I do not blame you but I would save your money and buy a proper 600 swb. Unless your father has unlimited funds and if you could find someone willing to take on this adventure I would imagine that you could easily drop £70,000 into a restoration project of this sort, maybe even more. I could have bought the anthracite car for £20,000. What put me off was some clunking from the offside front suspension/steering and the gearbox slipped in reverse. The paint was pretty good with some minor blemishes and the leather on the back of the drivers seat needed some attention where it had come unstitched. Luckily for me I was not prepared to buy it without a full inspection and there was an Irish chap willing to pay the £20,000 there and then.
