7" screen upgrade to 8.4"

I am buying 2019 (68 plate) GLC Sports premium with 7" screen. Can this be upgraded to 8.4" just by changing screen ? or is the software different?
There seem to be quite a few about on ebay etc.

Does your car have Audio20 NTG5.5? Or COMAND NTG5.5?

If you are not sure, then you can check your car's Datacard (in the 5xx section - e.g. '506 AUDIO 20 RADIO NAVIGATION-CAPABLE NTG 5.5').

Hi go online Last Vin.com put your vin number in and that will tell you what version you have

I swapped screen but although it fits and works it will only display up to 7" on 8.4" screen.

Incidently my Vin is not recognised in Last vin.com but is confirmed genuine by MB UK office. ??
