Hi all, can any one tell if you can change wireing loom thats gose in to back of diesel pump, dose it just pull out of pump or do you have to strip pump if so how ease is it to do, have removed c clip but feel very tight.any help on this matter would be great.

The end cover has to come off then there is a little black terminal block inside which needs opening and the wires de-soldered. Lots of black oil will spill with the end cover open.

so its just a case of removing the bolts, an opening the black case de soldering wire, then soldering wires back in,my main concern is that if i take the plate off will any thing fall off the back of pump thats inside it,or will i have to have the pump set up, would anybody be able to send any info to me:doh:
thanks for last replay

I have no idea on what you are talking about and I have no clue on how Druk found it ?
Cheers.

:D. Druk found it by taking the backplate off his pump to see what was inside.:D. Nothing ventured etc.

No, there is nothing that will fall out or get lost when you take the plate off. A lot of black engine oil will come out though, so be ready for that. It has an O ring as a gasket. When you have the backplate off you can clean it then take it to a bench for further work. There are some bits to take off but that is all to get to the wires. If you want to wait till tomorrow I'll take a pic and post it.

changed loom over to new pump, all good now, thanks druk for your help.
