A class and speed bumps

My wife has an A180cdi avant garde, nearly two years old. No real problems with it (other than a persistent rattle from the dash), but I have noticed that whenever there are passengers in the car it seems to scrape the bottom when it goes over speed bumps. Some of these are really quite small affairs, all of which my CLK glides over without any effort.

I wondered if other A-class owners experience this problem, or if it is a sign of something amiss with the suspension which I need to get looked at?

I get the same with my B Class sport, I think the suspension is lowered and its the cardboard sump guard scraping. I've looked underneath and can't see anything else near enough to the floor
