A Workmate has a 2002 A140 with a non working starter and has been told by his local garage it will cost 600 pound to fix it anybody know how hard it is to do?

You have to drop the engine/box/cradle to do them, not the end of the world, but hard work.

£600 seems a bit ambitious.
