a rather special clk...

Gotta say that looks the part...hate the price though

I traded my CLK55 AMG Cab in at MB Edinburgh back in May. It was an awesome car and I miss it a lot. Unfortunately my job had changed and I couldn't justify the additional fuel costs. So I traded it in for a CLS320CDI and whilst the new car is lovely, I think I'd still rather have my old CLK.

They started it off at £27k and it is now down to £21k. I reckon if a cash buyer went in with £18k they'd seriously consider it.

don't say things like that!! :)

Edit - think I found it, its the only CLK55 convertible for sale on MB's website!

She's a beauty. I prefer the Jaspar Blue one that Jay had though, about the same year and mileage, his was £17995 iirc.

It was a great car with a decent spec too. I was the second owner and intended to keep it until it died until my job role changed and it looked like I'd be doing a weekly return trip to Manchester from Edinburgh. I have since moved jobs to a new company and now only do 12 miles a day. I did go back to MB Edinburgh to talk about buying it back but they offered me an awful trade-in on the CLS so it has stayed there. I have told them to contact me again before sending it to the trade...

a shame :( maybe you could buy it for less than you traded tho lol!

Touch wood I never had any major issues with mine but there is definitely an attraction buying one with an MB warranty. If you do go for one outside the network, check EVERYTHING and go through the service history with a fine toothcomb. Phone the dealer who did the last service and check it out.

Bear in mind that a set of front brakes and discs will set you back around £500 alone. Also, the 60k service can be a big one - if it has been done, great, otherwise factor it into your negotiation. MB Glasgow quoted me around £1,200 for the one that was due on mine assuming they didn't find any additional work that needed doing...
