A sad sight

Walking past the local station today I spied a W215 CL500 '04 reg. Upon closer inspection it had one of those council notices on the windscreen telling all and sundry that in their opinion it's been abandoned and unless it's removed within seven days it's off to the tin can factory.

I know appearances can be deceptive but it sat level, there was just a small amount of corrosion at the base of the C-pillars and it even had legal tyres.

Such a waste.... any excuse these days to crush a decent car!

Has it got tax and mot? Owner could be in hospital for all they know! Are any checks done by councils before they put these notices on? Anybody know? Seems a shame.
