A unicorn has joined the stable at Chez Daz

Is it heresy to say it's not great looking? (shelters from big stones)
I don't know anything about the CLK GTR but I'm guessing the designers didn't have looks as the number one priority?
It does have a certain presence though.
Still not a patch on the Smart ForFour AMG Black Series Night Edition Premium Plus 125 Powered by Brabus

Now there's a blast from the past! Wonder what is occupying his garage nowadays?
I bet it’s more than a bit spesh whatever it is!

I think the CLK GTR looks great

Just don’t flip it on track (it was this one wasn’t it?)
It was the CLR which aspired to be an aeroplane at Le Mans. The CLR was a successor to the CLK GTR.

A recognisable face was as far as the styling went. It was built to take on McLaren and Porsche in GT1 racing, and did a blooming good job, even if it did get a helping hand from a McLaren F1…

Coincidentally, a couple of months after you posted that I went on track at Silverstone in a new pre-launch Aston Martin Vantage with Peter Dumbrek, who flipped the CLR at Le Mans in 1999.

His driving was super as you would expect, but the performance of the car was brutal for a road biased car, and well beyond what I had expected. Thankfully he kept all four tyres in the ground 😀
