Just got my usual hopeful mailshot from AA Insurance which always makes me laugh. AA had apparently "searched their suppliers" and found their best insurance offer of £420 for my annual policy. 60 year old driver 15year old Astra worth £200 11years NCB - the car was scrapped 2 years ago. Optimistic or what? This just after having my usual annual negotiation over AA Breakdown cover when every year I am informed during the price haggle that I have been preselected for a loyalty discount,(although this is never taken off the price in their original mailshot) . Hey ho suppose it gives me something to do apart from messing about with cars

I used them for years untilI got fed up with high premium increases at renewal time. Tried a few others but settled on Direct Line, who beat all others by quite a bit. Renewal time coming up for both cars so we shall see what they offer. I am in about the best category that I have ever been in (78, Isle of Wight, 11 years NCB, X reg CLK320, 65 reg Nissan Juke). Hoping for the best.
