I thought the check valves that stop the car dropping when the engine is off are metal-to-metal valves. Surely changing the o-rings isn't going to affect a droopy car?
I agree.
Although many have had positive results by just cleaning & replacing the O rings, there are more factors in play on the small solenoid shut off valves. I have read quite a few cases of unsuccessful attempts by people who have even used the same O rings as fellow forum members.
The metal to metal piston valve must be cleaned thoroughly as one most probably does when doing the cleaning process. But, we are also suggesting the seals on the piston itself are prone to leaking fluid. These, however are quite a challenge to replace!!
We have yet to find a solution!?
