As above as i have to get rid tomorrow of my immaculate C280 V6 W202. Having to do it cos of MPG i get from her because i'm now doing lots more miles than i ever thought i would. I have really loved and cherished her in the short time I've owned her. Having to get a 2003 mondeo hatch for practicality too. Sob Sob. lost track of how many times i've polished her. Will miss the airiated seats and the ice cold air con and the sun roof.:(:(:(:(:(:(

Im sure you will be back to Mercedes when time allows Tony.

Stay with us on here too.

Yes i will be back to the fold the first opportunity that comes along. Trouble is when your semi retired with a tiny pension the pennies really count. Especially when your ex has a real good deal and marries into a millionaires family. Grrrr. oh well spilt milk and all those other sayings.

No good dwelling on the past bro....you sacked her for a reason! cant you just do a bit less miles in the Merc if your semi retired?

Tony.

What sort of mpg will you ge from the mundane-o ?

doing a lot more miles for the charity work i do and work busy. Will get about twice the mpg or there abouts. Shame the back seats don't fold down on merc.

A diesel S203 , or an A Class will do decent mpg . Both are also good load carriers . The petrol ones will also easily return more mpg than your C280 .

Early models of both can be picked up for reasonable money .

Have you tested the mpg in the Mondeo? Thought I was going to be doubling my MPG going from 5L V8 to 1.8 turbo C250, actually only gained 10%.

Well you folks will be pleased that after test driving a few more practical hatch backs and almost parting with my 280 v6 i just couldnt do it in the end. I cleaned and polished her again and she gleams in the sun and wondered what i was thinking about. The term "i used to be undecided, but now i'm not so sure" comes to mind Hahhh So glad to be staying in the fold on here and still picking you chappies brains. Well have a nice day folks.

As Dinah said, what a difference a day makes.........

What a difference an hour makes hahhh

Another polish today then. Ahhhhhh, that's better.
