Anyone ever heard of these?

Where are they made?

Just bought a W203 C280 from MB Direct and I find it comes with two of these on the rear. The fronts are Contisports.

Not a big fan of cheapo tyres.

If you want to be cheeky, ask MB Direct why the tyres aren't MO spec :)

Would you honestly expect the dealer to exchange tyres before they sold it ?

How about non OEM brake pads ?

I think you have to draw the line somewhere.

I have heard of AA tyres , we have some on our A class ( were on it when we bought it ) , and they seem ok.

A quick google and look on Camskills website shows they are probably a budget tyre.

For 95% of your driving probably ok... But on a damp road who knows..

How worn are they, for a couple of hundred you could change them for a better 'make' if your concerned.

this was a quick google search..

Accelera Alpha - tyre reviews, the online tyre guide

Thanks A210 - reading the reviews, it seems the majority don't rate them in the wet.

I'm a high miler on motorways and I've never had "budget" tyres in my life.

There has to be a reason why they are half the price of well known brands.

Not always ....

The Falken 452's i have on the CLK IMO perform better than the P Zero Rossos i had before , they were horrid tyres.

^ I also have falken 452's all round on mine.

from memory around £100 each (camskills, and the rears are 265/35/18)

If your not happy its not much to change them really.

Yes quite A210, I'm after some nice AMG wheels so new boots would be the next purchase.

A lot of folk rate Falkens - I always used to be either Michelin from Costco when there was an offer or Continentals from our local independant family firm. The extra £3 over the likes of Kiwk-Fit was worth it for the friendly service - might give them a go.

Ive got 2 front accelera tyres and personily think there better the the previous bridgestones i had on seem to grip alot better, ill be changing the back to these soon as well

Went to the garage this morning to pick up some mats and mentioned the tyres.

Reminded them how many cars I'd bought there and intitially they said they's swap with the wheels / tyres from another car. Happy with that, very pleased.

A short while later the guy came over to say "Come back on Friday and we'll put you two new tyres on"

Very happy with that indeed.

Thank you MB Direct.

Good wear rates but quite noisy and overall poor grip.

I have just changed all 4 Accelera Alphas on my car, just short of 30,000 miles. No problems with them whatsoever.

They are utter utter rubbish. I have them on the front of my Alfa MiTo (as fitted by dealer prior to sale) and I've never ever experienced a worse tyre. I can reach 60mph in the wet with the traction control light still on and understeer is shocking. As soon as I have 5 minutes I'm going to bin them and put some decent tyres on. I honestly can't believe that these tyres meet safety standards. Even in the dry they are wobbly and vague. My hobby is racing a classic Alfa so I know a little bit about tyres & grip.

I have these on the Penta's on my W116, so far no problems, don't find them noisey at all and they drive straight. Grip is very good in the dry, not tried them in the wet yet. Not my 1st choice of tyre but as they came with the wheels I will run them until they need replacing as they are virtually new.

hi
i have this tyres
225/45/17 on front
245/40/17 at the back
have done on them around 5000 miles so far and cannot say any thing bad about them
have done trip from liverpool to etten leur( holland) on them in dry/wet weather speed in france was around 110mph in rain their were fine i could control car easily without any problems
i read as well somewhere that this tyres are very noisy but in fact for me they are just fine
ok the rubber which has been used to make them is hard but even in when i was turning (35mph) left or right i couldnt hear them at all
will i put them again yes for english summer weather yes

Bought my CL from MB main dealer, fitted with Falken 19" I have no problem at all with them. Better than the PZero tyres fitted to my last car, also 19". IMO value for money.
