Ad Blue problem

Ad blue has an expiry date and has to be stored in very specific conditions. If not it will cause you problems.

It should not be stored in direct sunlight and should not be stored in temperatures exceeding 25C. Its all on the product label in small print.

If you see any crust or crystals around the lid of the ad blue bottle do not buy it or do not use it. You will have problems.

Buy the stuff fresh with at least 1 year on the expiry date and ensure it has been stored correctly. you wont have any issues then.
So my mate was right . Loads of petrol stations have the adblue stored outside in opaque containers next to coal and wood stood, out in the elements in all weathers . Basically don't buy it from them 👍

My local Esso garage has an Adblue pump on the forecourt. You just fill up as you would with fuel. The Adblue is a lot cheaper as no plastic bottle to pay for and it’s stored underground so dark and cool. Purchasing from the pump means you can dona complete fill and not have a part bottle kicking around.
Worth looking out for. But just remember that the Adblue pump at the truck refill area s designed to deliver the larger amounts that commercial vehicles use do its filler will not go into a cars dainty little filler. The car Adblue filler does feel like a kids toy pump due to the very small nozzel.
