I've noticed a slight delay in the throttle response in my car. I know these diesels normally do have a slight delay but it seems to be more than what's normal.

Car still does pull well however takes a few seconds longer to get up to speed.

Just to rule out the possibility that the throttle cable has slack I've tightened the nut giving it a few turns (see picture). The throttle response is already so much better however, could tightening it put too much stress on the cable that it will eventually snap.

I've tried resetting the adaptive setting a few times in the past which does improve the drive slightly however tightening the throttle cable has has a better effect in my opinion.

It only allows you to tighten it untill the stop on the arm hits the throttle body , so no point in doing it up any tighter tbh .

Lol not really clued on about so excuse my lack of knowledge, I'm still learning.

So what do you recommened should I loosen it up the way it originally was? And take another approach to get rid of the slight delay in throttle response?

you should know when its tight enough as the throttle pedal should move the throttle linkage as soon as you press the pedal , not a case of press the pedal then down some more before throttle body moves. it should be instant - hope this makes sence .

Makes perfect sense. I think mine did start to go a bit slack. It took me a bit of trial and error before getting it perfect and car drives the way it should now. Thanks for the advice.
