Air Filter changes

Anyone know the intervals on this, it wasn't done on the 72k service. I'm about to do an oil service (78k) and its not mentioned in the handbook..

Car has a full service history.

Is it a case of have a look at the bits in question and take a view?

Car is running fine - its the CE btw.

Visual inspection for dirt.
Only inspected on some services, change if unserviceable.

I have a feeling that the interval is 40k miles,, this also depends on the environment that the car is used in.

I took mine out 2 weeks back and they were quite clean, but changed them at 27k,, the fuel saving of any difference would take a life time to get back at £40 for the pair on mine
