Alarm 10009Test

Whilst driving through the Blackwall Tunnel today my COMAND 2.5 screen suddenly displayed "Alarm 10009Test" overlaid on the Navigation screen and the audio output switched from my MP3 Player (Aux 1 on the TV Tuner) to what I took to be Classic FM. I could not cancel the message or switch to another screen until I exited the tunnel, whereupon the message disappeared, the output from the MP3 player resumed and normal functions returned. WTF is this?

Classic FM carries the TMC channel IIRC, so I'm guessing this was some sort of test message broadcast by them.
