Couldn't find appropriate place for this. I need some advice on how to set Alarm when top is down, what other buttons do I need to activate? I've recently had alarm siren changed and not heard it go off yet. Ive put the top down and tried to activate alarm by leaning in the car,but nothing happens. Can anyone help please. Thanks

I've never thought about this, but in the coupe isn't the ultrasonic sensor in the roof? - I assume it's not there with a cloth top.

Unless it's not this thing?

AND THE OLD ALARM USED TO GO OFF WITH THE TOP DOWN?? I would imagine that any interior motion sensors [ if fitted] would automatically be disabled with the top down to preclude multiple false triggers?

Can't you put the top up when you leave the car unattended? It's only a button to press?

The old alarm didnt go off at all, it was draining the battery, as it doesn't go to sleep when the car went to sleep. I still havent heard he alarm, as I do not know how to set it off.

If the top is down, lock the car with the remote, wait 60 seconds, then reach inside and open a door, alarm siren will sound for 30 seconds and hazard lights will flash for 3 minutes, the alarm will then reset itself.
