Thought this may be of use to some of you with Alcantara.
My steering wheel had some bobbles and the fabric direction had become twisted and adverse.
Done mine today, not so much the soiling more about removing the fine bobbles that build up.
Took around an hour to fully sort using 120 grit Emery paper, wipe over very gently to exfoliate the surface, you'll see fine fibres being pulled away from the fabric, then brush down with a leather brush, repeat these steps untill happy with the finish, then a good final clean with Koch chemie PO or a good Alcantara cleaner using a fine MF Cloth or toothbrush.
Once finished dry the wheel as much as possible using a clean MF cloth.
Finish off with a leather brush to reset the fabric direction.
