Any specific techniques on how to clean up alcantara?

Cheers

One of the (better) You Tube tutorials swears by just using a slightly moistened (water and Ph neutral soap) microfibre cloth. Wring the cloth until nearly dry and then a gentle round the wheel wiping action.

Not tried it yet but may do when I get some time...

Be gentle - I took a brush and soapy water to mine on the last car and it never recovered it's smoothness .

+1 for the Raceglaze cleaner in post 3.
What ever you do be very careful, Alcantara is horrible stuff, I have Alcantara/leather interior in my Audi and is hateful stuff to keep clean.
The best method I have found is to spray the cleaner directly to a small area and keep dabbing with a cloth, I use a towel, repeat this process till clean.

Thanks - the alcantara wheel in my 507 is pretty horrible at the moment

Anyone have experience with MB's DINAMICA? Is it just their version of alcantara, or something different?

Cheers guys - have ordered some Raceglaze and will try that out (then baby wipes :))

micro fiber cloth and warm water with some lemon juice ..

Just invested in the smallest pack of Tesco baby wipes I could find - you know, the suitcase-sized pack  - and have used two of them on my E63‘s alcantara wheel to superb effect.

I also reckon I have enough baby wipes left over to do the whole headliner at least three times over :D

The bum wipes tend to be better as they don't have any lotion in them and just evaporate to nothing.

If you ever use silicon sealant these are the best things ever, just wipes away leaving nothing, how can something with that removing power be good for the skin!

Also keep a pack in my desk drawer as they get a white mac keyboard back to new in seconds.

alcantara is a lovely material but easy to mess up be ultra carefull u dont end up smudging the finish

Raceglaze did the job for me - much better now
