SL Leather Airbag cover & AMG Shroud
So ive always loved the SL`s leather aibag cover, so i managed to get one wit hcontrasting stitching which complimented the interior nicely!

WARNING: please dont attempt this if you dont know what you are doing.

new cover on! phew !
IMG_3383_zpswemaqc5w.jpg

time to replace the shroud with an AMG one, this can be done carefully with the airbag wires still attached , you just need to dismount it from its clips. i would advise disconnecting battery when doing any work with the airbag.

old shroud off

New Wheels - ISPIRI FFR7
It was hard to find a set of wheels which had the same impact as the ones on my E55, so i went for a set of lightweight ISPIRI FFR7 in brushed titanium

Very nice Alps. Liking the carbon side skirt infills:thumb:
The car is begging for a more aggressive rear diffuser;)

Looking really good Alps, nice to see that it's reaching a new and higher level. :)

What are the bhp and lb/ft figures now you have had Acid waved his Magic Wand Alps ?

Awesome!!! car, Alps.
:D:D

My fave are the welcome lights, everybody comments on mine lol, so for £10 it has to be the best mod!!

Sorry Peter, noticed i hadnt replied

Finally the car was making a max of 940 bhp!

It was a little too aggressive so toned down to a modest 850 BHP!

Now for the clincher, SHES SOLD! :(

i didnt even get to advertise her, sold within 5 secs of mentioning in a wassup group! power of Social media hey!

need a stop gap car so if anything decent comes up let me know :) have no idea what i am going for next!

not sure, 55 w211 would fill the stop gap, but they are getting old and alot of tired ones out there.

no idea whats next! going to be hard to beat a 900+bhp animal.

S63 Coupe?

Can’t believe you’ve sold up and yes will be hard to replace. I’m in a similar situation, but cannot find anything to replace the CLS with that will give me as much performance and looks, without throwing a big chunk of money into another car.

Will the new owner be on here?

Feel for you my mate, though understand the sentiments entirely.

Strangely, or coincidentally, I've just sold my W213 E63s as well so we both had them around the same length of time.

Funnily, I never really gelled with the W213 though it did have a hard act to follow with the taxi. I went from a car which I'd got how I wanted it to standard factory again. I couldn't modify/personalise the new one as there were several little electrical niggles, none of which were particularly serious, though enough to have to keep taking it back in to Mercedes to get fixed. I know that if I'd been playing with the maps, this could potentially have been used against me, hence the reason it was kept standard.

I also happen to know that Alps felt the same with the W212, in that whilst certainly liking the car, he never really formed a bond with it. Shame really but let's see what tomorrow brings... :D
