AMG alloys condition

Hi, I've recently bought a C250 CDI sports estate with AMG alloys.
The surface of the alloys look stained almost as if somewhere down the line someone has tried used a chemical cleaner and left it on too long. I've never noticed it on other cars I've had.
Can anyone recommend a good cleaner for these alloys? Is an alloy refurb my most likely solution though?
Cheers
Dan

If it's a chemical mark it may need a refurb, post a couple of pictures might be an easy fix.

Water gets between the lacquer and the diamond cut surface.

This can be caused by stone chips, jet washes or chemicals.

Best bet is to get them refurbed and do away with the diamond cut finish for a basic painted finish that will last.

Hi guys,
Just to say thanks for the advice, armed with it I went in for my MB service and asked for them to investigate the alloys, stating the water under the lacquer reasoning - emailed me later that day to say they had four new AMG alloys and would be putting them on that day under warranty - result!
The new ones are the painted version which already seem to be a lot smarter and tougher wearing
Thanks again

Yes it was under the three year original warranty
