How does one know if the wheels are genuine AMG , on the inside the size and some numbers are stamped but no AMG or Mercedes star nor particularly obvious numbers. They seem good quality the wheels in question are in the link to the car I just bought MERCEDES-BENZ Clase E E 320 CDI Elegance Auto Familiar Diesel Granate (Granate) del 2005 con 125000km en Barcelona

if you click on the photo it enlarges a bit though u dont see much to help with indentifiaction , they are good replicas if they are only that !

No expert but they dont look real to me. Better than the ones that came on my C class with ANC written in the same font as AMG normally is lol, did make me laugh.

The Amg stamp is completely different for a start

Correct!

The Genuine AMG wheel has the logo cast by the manufacturer into the web/spoke of the wheel, the fake has an oblong recess cast into the wheel, whereupon a metal/alloy AMG badge is stuck into place.

Having said this, what does it matter?, as long as you are not paying over the odds for fake accessories then as long as they are of a good quality it is the whole package that counts!

Remember, many aftermarket Brand accessories aren't made by themselves, they are farmed out to wheel manufacturers such as O.Z, BBS, Ronal and now many far eastern companies.

They came on the car as I bought it , they look ok to me, I had 15´s with trims on the old w210 for 3 yrs so for me they are an improvement . AMG cost a fortune and they are still cast not forged (like my old 911 Fuch rims) so they are overpriced and I imagine do much the same job. I don´t like fake anything and guess I am bit dissappointed to know the truth but if they are ok on quality maybe like you say it doesn´t matter too much. Most plebs probably won´t know the difference.

defo fakes, there are some good fakes out there that look almost the same as originals , only way is to check the part number on the back.
