Im sorry but as great as the E36 Cabrio is, its never worth 20K +

It may be if all the wiring loom, head gasket, bushes, mounts and all those things were replaced...then just maybe!

Otherwise for that money i'd go buy a E63 or an RS6!

Other cabrios have been mentioned - and although the e36 is overpriced - none of the others have the investment potential

Same is true of the sl60. Always seem to be a couple for sale despite their rarity. They are often the same cars that are for sale over long periods with the owners holding out for unrealistic prices in a very small Market. .

Not just Mercs - but i have found other very rare cars that prop up online in suprising numbers

The thing that makes the A124's different from everything else is that they are the only modern day decent convertible that is designed to fit people over 6'5". That really is the big draw card for me. The other qualities can, as people have already mentioned, be sourced from other similar cars for less money.....
