another newbie with a question

Hi all just joined the forum and I have to say it looks great. Just purchased a 2002 320 clk and to be honest I love it !Had all the body work and wheels touched up and full service and its just great. Only 1 little prob is the boot is very intermittent sometimes it opens sometimes not. Garage told me to replace locking unit so I did albeit a second hand unit but alas its still the same. Took the the old part apart and it seems fine .Just wondered if any one could point me in the right direction as I feel it must be an electric problem. Many thanks all and hope I can have some useful input into your forum.

Rookie here, my boot was hard to close, had to slam it several times, undid the retaining plate dodad and adjusted it and it open and closes easily now, could it just need a bit of adjusting?

Tried that for 3 hours and no luck the frustrating thing is with the boot open when pressing the key it operates fine and if I press the button with the boot closed and give it a helping hand it does open.....which would lead to the catch needing adjusting ..one would have thought but alas not.
