Our car is going in for a C+ service today and as usual the service department has just contacted me to confirm it is convenient to collect our car. Apart from the service the manager has stated they will be inspecting the front axle and some retaining bolts? I have no idea at the moment what bulletin this is, but our vehicle has had the front end inspected about 12 months ago to check on some nuts and bolts.

Incidentally they are dropping off a GL for us to play with for the day ;) Wife doesn't know this though so I had best post this before she comes in.

Regards
John

Have you got room for it alongside the stretch limo?

Sounds like the parts in the attached figure, parts 1a & 3. But was this for the first inspection you mention and the one in concern now would be something different???

Wish they offered a GL or something similar at my shop, I would start hoping for more issues on my car :)

You've obviously still got that GL thing going on...

...you know it makes sense

The car has been returned, the GL has gone and thank goodness for Service Plus. No extra expense regarding this service. BUT....................... There was a very slight oil seepage on the rear suspension that will need sorting at the next service. The car is due for its MOT in February and the part will be replaced then, free of charge :D but we are of course paying £58 per month for the warranty. I still think this warranty a bargain and this just reinforces that opinion. :)
