Cant seem to get the motion sensors to work in the slk.

Miffy kindly put his star on and came up with a code of B1276 motion sensor fault.

Ive changed the sensor to no avail.

Do you think it might be a PSE problem?????

The pump is dry and i.ve no fault with indicators/int light or locking/unlocking.
The only clue is that there are 4 wires out of the sensor but only 3 on the wiring loom. Also i think the battery is on its way out.

Is the pse linked to the motion sensors??

I,m not sure if the slk ever had motion sensors as i,ve only found this problem. No faults really showed up when on STAR,,it was almost as though it was not there,,it allowed you to program it and activate it, the locking and the alarm are all fine

Number 3 Motion sensor module is on its way via flea bay.
If this one doesnt work i think it will prove its not the problem. The guru.s on the slk owners forum havn.t flagged it as giving problems.
I still cant fathom why there are 4 wires on the module and only 3 on the loom that connects to it.(None broken or missing)
What i need is someone with an r170 with motion sensors to whip the oval type dome light out and have a look (only two screws)

I pulled the insulation back to see if there was a broken wire but no
