Anyone Bought icarsoft MB V3.0 ?

The multi-vehicle version seems to be available:

I want just the Merc version if it is an upgrade from V 2.0 😷👍

The iCarsoft 2 is hit and miss at finding modules and showing the correct data, at least on a 350 diesel and their customer support is non existent.

I upgraded from the MB II to the 2, no difference apart from a couple of extra buttons on the device.

Looks like the only difference is auto recognition via VIN - which would be alot easier I guess...

There must be a better option out there ?

My V2.0 is useless at showing DPF info on my E350 231bhp but works well on my dad's E350 265bhp

I hope they aren't just trying to get people to upgrade instead of upgrading the old versions...?

My mb2 V2 doesn't work for my e350 dpf.

Hi Folks
Just got an Icarsoft MB3. Cant compare it with V2 as I have not had a Mercedes vehicle before. It has a list of MB cars and vans including the Vito 447 chassis Just tried it and it will not talk to my 2015 Vito Bluetec 447 . Reads VIN then the dreaded notice 'unidentified' Tried several up dates but still the same. Problem is now with Icarsoft in the states. Save your money until all the bugs have been ironed out or buy star.
Not impressed!!!

"...then the dreaded 'unidentified.'"

I had an iCarSoft MB 2 -- worked great. Then I bought a new Sprinter and was told the CR V3 was needed for the W907s -- model year 2019+ here.

The OBDII part works fine.

You get up to three manufacturer-specific extended capabilities for no additional cost. I opted for "Mercedes" and "Sprinter." No joy: neither Mercedes nor Sprinter can recognize the chassis number and customer support (via email) has been unresponsive.

Bugs abound.

I purchased the icarsoft MB V3 for the Vito 447 chassis. A pile of CRAP!! Nothing would work the not even reading the faults codes and modules. iCarsoft system would not recognise the 447 platform. Its publicised to do wonders for all listed products but its did nothing . I sent a HOT email to icarsoft and they did send me some software to so that I could read the ODB2 codes and cancel when rectified. I had a nox sensor problem that was driving me mad. After several updates things started to improve but auto service reset is still a manual process.

Not worth the money and the customer support from the dealer was non existent. Icarsoft LR tool worked bountifully but wont work with MB vehicles.

Hope that helps if anyone is thinking about purchasing the MB V3 tool. DONT

I have a W212 E350 Bluetec 2013 and have bought an Icarsoft V3 about a month ago.
Works perfect picked car up from Vin ID. Cleared old codes and is fine.
I am impressed with it

I'm glad someone has had some success with it. Perhaps its the the software used for the 447 Bluetec. But icarsoft claims it does work. Anyone else used the MB V3 on a 447 Bluetec? Would be good to hear what works and what dosn't

Cheers

Any problems that I have had with either of my iCarsoft OBD scanners, have been speedily resolved by a Mr Barnett Davies, www.icarsoft.us. I have the iCarsoft MB11, and up graded to the iCarsoft CR PRO, which is able to handle not only MB, but a range of other makes as well.

I have iCarSoft MB 2 and it's Ok for my very basic 2006 C class, but I cant' help noticing when watching various motoring content on YouTube almost none of the 'home mechanics' seem to be using iCarSoft products . 🤷‍♂️
