Anyone Bought icarsoft MB V3.0 ?

I have iCarSoft MB 2 and it's Ok for my very basic 2006 C class, but I cant' help noticing when watching various motoring content on YouTube almost none of the 'home mechanics' seem to be using iCarSoft products .

I've both the iCarsoft MB11 and the CR PRO. A week after I bought the MB 11, they introduced the MB2 !!! So later on, I went for the CR PRO, and TBH, it does the trick for me. Covers a good range of other makes as well , but with MB prioritized.

MB II has done what I wanted on everything up to my 2013 CLS350, including DPF data.

I have bought the iCarSoft MB v3.0.

It clears codes on my car, possibly the MB v2.0 would have....I just opted for the latest. Anyway, nothing to complain about so far. Updating the software is best done direct to the MicroSD card (they call it a TF card but IDK....MicroSD, people know what it is).

Brought up some odd supply 'out of range' codes in various modules but I'm ignoring them because I don't have provenance of the battery condition yet, has missed on the first turn of the key twice already so I suspect it may be ready for replacement at 10 years. But, I took the car for a run and thereby should have put some net charge into it, will get it tested. The device claims it will do a battery coding so I'm just looking at replacements the Exide AGM looks good value, the car looks to have the OEM Varta so I don't think it's ever been changed.

^^^ It could well have the OEM battery in from the day it was built , mine did , it was 12 years old when I replaced it . I only replaced it as a precaution I thought 12 years old was 'pushing it a bit' especially for a daily driver that lived outside on the drive .

If the date codes are not stamped on the top of the battery posts they should be on the battery somewhere.

Looking to get one rather than my basic OBD scanner circa £20 but does do a bit of a job on the ML250. It went in for the software upgrade for the emissions and a few hundred miles later EML has come on. It says catalytic temperature sensor but would need to confirm if this is covered with the MB warranty after emissions update or take it to indy. Shame there's nothing as good for MB out there as there is for other makes.

I Purchased the MB V3 last week from LJM diagnostics using @KillerHERTZ discount code from this site got it for £165.55 with next day delivery they are also a Icarsoft dealer so definitely recommend for anyone looking

So far it’s been brilliant and instantly found the car via the new auto VIN identity system and the reason personally for me going for the V3 over V2 is because this version also now has quite a few more options installed that the previous MB v2 didn’t
