I'm having trouble getting into your Yahoo emails as well..

All sorted it seems, for now..

I Think it sounds like one of those technical problems which can only be cured by leaving it alone and going back to it in the morning.

I think you may be right there, Keith. Managed to send one email and it's broken again.

You're welcome! I moved to GMail for reliability having been with Yahoo (though privacy concerns double weekly). Tried Fastmail.fm or gmx.com?

No, I've not tried any of the above. I'll look into those.

I did try Live Mail some time ago and it was a nightmare.

Microsoft have made Hotmail (aka Live) worse and worse, 'tis true! Left them when I switched ISP from AOL (AOL mail was an absolutely incredibly horrendous disaster)

I'd go for fastmail if you want a really really basic but reliable and award-winning email provider, and GMX if you want huge space and something very reliable and user-friendly.

The only reason I'm still with GMail is that I only need 2 addresses (my ISP, idnet.com, provides the other) and moving all my contacts etc. from GMail would take ages.

I agree about AOL. Moved from them years ago - Absolute nightmare!

I only moved to IDNet last year, I now get the absolute maximum my line can take (just 8mbps in Chelsea!) but with AOL I was getting under dial-up speeds and 'mysterious' extra charges.

I left AOL last year - after 9 years of no problems they went to the wall...I blame TalkTalk.

Still use my AOL email address and have no problems accessing it either via apple mail on iMac and iPod touch or via web.

Didn't fancy changing address after such a long time and it is a simple one to remember too.

Just reserved an .me address incase i ever need to switch.

also have a yahoo.com email address for my Flickr account..

But unlike Paul no dodgy email accounts.
