...a rental..not saying what !
Bit of trivial nonsense .....

Whenever I have had the need to dig out the first aid kit with a smug 'Oh yes Mercedes Benz fit one of these as standard you know'...its been of no use.

There's everything you need for open heart surgery (give or take a couple of things maybe  )...but nothin for a kid who's fallen off their scooter and grazed a knee..unless of course you wrap them up like the michelin man.

So come on ..prove me wrong:)

I did once look, to see it was there (and it was) but if ever I needed an item of first aid I wouldn't even think of it. I'd just nip down to the chemist.

Its never been opened and I wouldn't really want to open it anyway

Never used it, but it's a legal requirement to have one in some European countries (also applies to warning triangle and spare bulbs).

I've used one and thank God (or whoever thought of it) for putting it there. Strangely enough I've never used ABS or any of the other traction control features.

I nearly hurt my 'fist' in a road rage incident. :D Good to know there's a kit had I done. Never used the first aid either. ;)

Used it yesterday.. my son sprained his wrist playing football so i taped a bandage round him.

You should've tried the ABS, it might have saved the need for the first aid kit..

I used mine once, well it was actually the first aid kit in my mums old C Class. After cutting my finger on a glass I needed a plaster urgently.

I have used mine, My youngest daughter was racing around a tarmac area and took a running dive, using her knee and elbow for a brake. The kit was very usefull.

never used it and from what i can see neither have the previous 4 owners of my 1996 c class......i should probably replenish it at some point as it cant be good to have an "out of date" first aid kit lol

never used mine, just checked it, it was out of date in 2002!:o

:) The car in front hit a child that had run out in front of them. Thankfully I saw this person run between the parked vehicles before he 'appeared' directly in front of the unsuspecting driver. Not a nice incident and situational awareness is something we should all try to develop, improve etc. Far better than relying on gadgets, but nice to have them if all else fails. :)

I used it for a 'casualty' themed party. :D

Theres so many bandages in there I could have gone dressed as a mummy.

When i got the car, I unzipped the bag and inspected the sealed contents, gave the scissors a bit of a check and put it back. Hopefully i'll never need to use it...

They were a little stiff and had very light oxidation, so yes, after some wd40 I think they did have their B service :D

I was going to say that - I read somewhere (the handbook??) that the contents should be replaced periodically.

Wonder if it's covered on ServicePlus? :)

My wife keeps an emergency nail file in ours..........
