Thanks for all the great replies, especially kikkthecat for that detailed writeup! I think I'll keep an eye out for a 2.2CDI, but I'm after the X-Long so might be in for a bit of a wait for the right car.

The extra long doesn't look too bad with roof rails (standard on the Viano, I think) to make it look a bit taller. Without them it looks like a train

I've come across a 3.0 CDi Ex Long in Hounslow, 11000 miles and top spec including Electric rear doors and comand. PM sent

My Vito travel liner 2.2cdi has got the same spec as a Viano...well, probably more extras than a Viano Ambiente...

It's good on the motorway up to 75mph, after that it's abit intrusive. MPG wise, it's a winner.
