Anyone know what this is it looks like something must of been caught under the paintwork during the build. Unsure as to how this will be remedied by the dealer?

Looks like fall out...dirt under the paint.

I'm guessing they'll nib it back and polish it

Is that on the bonnet?

Looks to me like someone slammed the bonnet shut before removing a tool of some sort from underneath.

I would see that as dirt in the paintwork, has the car had any paintwork since leaving the factory?

Thanks Simon

Its on the near side rear quarter panel, its had no paintwork done its only 7 weeks old.

It could well hav been damaged at dealer or in transit to dealer (happens daily believe me)

There not likely to say here's your new car we tore the side off it reversing into the wash bay but we've had it sorted for you are they ?

In transit and/or forecourt damage is a daily occurrence with new cars. The dealers simply use whoever they use to paint their used cars to fix any damage.

It's how it has been done since cars were ever sold;)
