Hi
I'm going to buy some wheels for my E55K . Looking at the MB Sites in the US there's lots using 20's . Anyone over here using them? If so any issues, tyre rubbing, any info would be great... Ie. Size, offsets
20x9 upfront and 20x10 rear
Thanks
Lee

Hi Lee, not a E55 but a CLS55, I run 20s on mine. (j on the front and 10.5 rears. Offset it 35 all round but I run 10mm spacers on the rear, drives spot on.

Cheers mate, searching the net it looks like 245/30/20 front and 285/25/20 rear. Waiting to hear from a few wheel shops to see what they advise using.

I had 20" Brabus alloys on my E55K and the ride was horrific, seriously shocking, 25 profile on the back is just ridiculous.

That's the only thing that has kinda been bothering me, was it really harsh...? I'm used to a rough ride as I've had a skyline GTR for the last 15 year with hard suspension and 19's .
Thanks for your input anyway

I've had big wheels on many cars (22's on RR Sports/ML etc) but they were by far and away the harshest I've ever experienced.

19's are the absolute limit on the W211 E55, the 20's completely ruin a great car.

Hmm, I'm having 2nd thoughts now.....! Need to look at E55's with 19's on.
Thanks anyway

They look great, think you have convinced me They fill the arches well.

They're the SL fitment, so wider at the front and rear than the W211's but as long as you go with the W211 tyre width, they fit fine.

20`s look the nuts but not practical on uk roads, ~US have better roads.

19`s look good and ride well imo
