Anyone wrapped their car?

m2287 - bad wraps look bloody awful you are right. I've been to sign shows where there are supposedly pro's doing it realtime so you can watch, the technique and finishing is rubbish! Companies that say they can do them in a day are the ones to avoid, I would suggest its impossible (unless there is a team of 6-8 people doing it).

Done well they can look good but any scratch will be impossible to hide and removing could be a nightmare

There are plenty of wrapped cars round where I live, mostly BMs and Audis, with the usual flotilla of boy racers in their 'stealth' cars.

None of the wraps look great, no lustre, no high gloss, no specular highlights that accentuate the form of the car's lines, just dull...dull...dull with black wheels and tinted windows.

Very few Mercs with wraps and the ones that you do see are usually white with black wrapped roof.

Also hate those cars that have blacked out rear windows in a different density than the front ones, makes the car look like a van, not a fan of hiding my car under a condom !!!

There are now products that remove scratches and swirls from vinyl ;)

I do somewhat agree about the finish can sometimes look dull, however if you get the right colour on the right car with someone doing a top job and it looks fabulous. A majority of people do it to hide dodgy paint etc but up close it actually makes it look worse!
