I am new to this forum but wanted to seek advice on what I have been told by the garage today. I am actually in Singapore now for the last 2 years after moving from the UK and bought myself a 2008 C230. Due to the astronomical cost of cars over here I am always very sceptical about what I am told so like to look into it.
Car went in today for front discs and pads and I had been noticing that after braking the brakes seemed to stick for a few seconds before releasing at the front. Backs are fine. Today I was told that the ABS pump needed replacing as the workings had become sticky and wouldn't last too much longer. I don't know a great deal about how these things work but wouldn't this pump affect the rears too? Cost from a local garage here is about the equivalent of 1300GBP, Mercedes dealers charge 3000 GBP...
Can anyone advise if this could be at fault or is there something I should look at first before getting this fixed. Car drives better now I have new brakes but still has the sticking issue from standing or after braking..
Thanks in advance
