aps 30

does anyone know if there is a way to connect an ipod to an aps30 ,like the command with the 3.5mm socket in the glove box.i dont fancy the transmitter idea .

Dension do a kit, the Dension ICE Link Plus, for the APS 30, that integrates with the CD changer input I believe. I had a look at Daltec Associates site (based in Middx), the Desnion part number is apparently ILKWMBD2B34. Try this link:

Sadly Dension don't do the Ice Link Plus for my Audio 20 yet.

I don't know if Daltec do fitting but their number is +44(0)870 366 1240. If not, Halfords will fit it for £99 including the kit!

This device sits on the fibre optic ring, and behaves like the CD changer [so Audio-10/30/30-APS/COMAND all think its a CD changer] so you have to disconnect your CD changer if you have one. I'm told that it then uses 6 playlists to look like the 6 CDs in a CD changer (or was it only 5 ..)

I've opted to put a MP3 capable CD changer into my A class, rather that the IPOD integration kit - as I dont have a IPOD , and my daughter keeps coming up with new CDs she wants playing on the way to school .. and I dont really want her going down the gadget route at 7. I.E if I got an IPOD and it had her music on it, I wouldnt have an IPOD any more.

If not, Halfords will fit it for £99 including the kit!

Wow - that seems incredible value. Denison must be selling stacks of these to get the price down low enough that Halfords can do that ..

Do you mean the Audio-20 CD in the newest cars ? (or was there an older Audio 20)

That uses a very different fibre optic system to the Denison stuff for the Audio10/30/30-APS/COMAND - however, Mercedes sell an IPOD integration kit for that..
