I am sure this may well of been covered before but what is the best way to treat or clean Artico.

I have just bought a new C Class with it in it, perhaps if I had a choice I would of went for actual leather but budget and car availability put paid to that.

Can you use Gliptone leather conditioner on it or is it just pointless.?:fail

Artico is vinyl and so Gliptone would be pointless. One could argue Gliptone is pointless on modern automotive leathers anyway as they are all PU coated. Leaves a nice smell though :)

Simply wipe down with a damp cloth. If heavily soiled use a proprietary vinyl cleaner or just some detergent in water and a nail brush.

I've wondered this as well as I have what I assume is Artico on the seats of my E Class (W211).

The bolster on the drivers seat isn't in a bad way but has a couple of lines where the material has worn. On leather I'd use Liquid Leather to feed it if it appeared the surface was a little broken and go from there but not sure if it'll make a difference on them!?

For simply wiping over I'd use Dr Leather spray as it cleans and leaves a matt finish but not sure about feeding Artico. Any tips appreciated. :)

I don't think one can 'feed' vinyl? It's impervious, just wipe with a damp cloth

Wet wipes / Baby wipes do the job (as they do for most stains and dirt in life)
Leather wipes did leave an okay smell, but a short run back from the Indian take away put paid to that!

If the bolster is in a bad way, getting it recovered is surprisingly good value

Thankfully and considering it's got 111k on it, the drivers seat is in very good condition. I guess it's at the point where I think I'll keep it good now to stop it wearing in future.

I'll definitely keep that in mind though. :thumb:
