What's the deal with asking them to do one? Having issues in that my traffic light view never pops up like it's supposed to as well as a couple features not popping up on the store that should be available for purchase.

My car is only a few months old so if I wanted to them to check this, do they have to do it including me asking them to do a proper mbux update? Or can they push back?

How do I even go about it? Call the mb service team? I assume it's free as I'm in my 3yr warranty period?

If the car is still under warranty, and you complain about issues with the infotainment system, the dealer will likely perform a firmware update as a matter of course as the first step of the diagnosis process. The rationale is that it will be a waste of their time to try and diagnose an issue that may have already been fixed by a software update. This will all be free to you.

If you also want the dealer to update the maps, than that's a different story - if your car is eligible for free maps updates (typically during the first 3 years) then they'll do it FOC buy you'll need to book it in.
