Hi All
Just had the ATF and filters changed at Pro-Tech in Newbury. The old oil wasn't too bad, still had a bit if a red tinge, so clearly the previous owner had the oil changed at some point in the cars life.
Even though the old oil wasn't burnt the improvement in the car is shocking - it feels far more responsive, gear changes are quicker and the gear box appears more decisive about what its going to do. It makes the car feel quicker, like it has gained 50hp - I am really shocked about the difference. The other nice thing was that it goes from D to R faster which makes manoeuvring easier.
Pro-Tech were very helpful - they even captured some old fluid for me in a couple of sample bottles supplied by the local doctor. I must remember to ensure they don't get sent back to the doctor - that could cause some concern!
I kept the samples to get a Glycol check done, does anyone know of a company that can do this?
