560 SEC
I have a 560SEC and would like to change the transmission fluid and egnine oil as it has been standing for about 5 years. my local mercedes dealer has quoted £85 for the transmission fluid but this sounds a bit much is there an other source for this? I have asked my local auto parts shop but according to the book it has to comply with mercedes sheet no 236.4 or 236.6 and the guy there said that is an old number and as long number on the oil is greater than that number it is ok,he recommends comma oil. also the engine oil must be 226.0, 226.1, 227.0 or 227.1 what does this mean? thanks Lee:dk:

Dexron 2 or 3 will be more than perfect for the job.

you will need around 8 litres if draining the torque convertor.

As for engine oil, I use a 10w/40 semi synthetic.. I wouldnt worry too much about the brand but I like valvoline.

I used Opie Oils before for various items, I recommend them (they know their stuff inside out and their prices are very reasonable), plus Fuchs is top brand. :thumb:
