Hi guys I bought a used Audio 10 cd player for my e class to replace my old one but once fitted its giving me a error message as soon as I insert a CD and it comes back out, The radio is working fine. Is this a faulty unit or a fitting issue? any help would be great

Thanks

Might get a response if you post the error message?

Hello, just a thought, is the Cd you put in an original or a burned copy ? Regards Damian. :)

Hello DJC913, I am having the same problem as mah83..

Pre-recorded CD's play OK on my Audio 10, but it will not play those which I have burned myself.
Is there anything I can do to enable me to be able to play them?

I am using Windows Media Player on Windows 7.

I had the same problem, I think the Unit is getting old/ worn....i.e it doesnt want to play copied CDs. Mine still played pre-recorded CDs i.e. genuine CDS.

I did try cleaning the lens with a CD you insert....no luck though. Do you have a CD changer? As it should play your copied CDs fine as long as the CD-Changer lens is in good condition.

Mine is a single cd player. :dk:

I have just burned a CD at a slow rate, as suggested by my local MB Dealer. If it works, I'll post back for the benefit of others. ;)

I worked! :D

I used the latest version of Windows Media Player and having selected the music, I ensured that it would result in MP3 Audio. The burning speed was 8x onto a Maxwell Music CD. :thumb:

Good luck! ;)

Thats good to hear.

Well done, at least I know how to make mine work now.

Cheers!

Thanks for the info guess its a faulty unit
