Audio 10 CD skip problems

I've just found a problem with my Audio 10 CD skip function. Instead of skipping sequentially through the CD tracks (1,2,3,4...) it jumps randomly from one track to another. Has anyone encountered this problem before and is it easy to source and replace another head unit (assuming this will solve my problem).

I'm a newbie to the car and this forum so apologies in advance..

have you got the random function on ?? Indicated by "RDM" in the display

Thanks Sean F, that was the problem all along - feel pretty stupid now. I was beginning to think I'd bought a duffer (washer doesn't work either) and am relieved following your post.
