Anyone swapped out there speakers on a 2000 clk coupe 230 kompressor what’s the best idea would prefer to pull out old and replace with new if possible without cutting or mucking about and will I have to change the amp
Changing just the speakers will not improve the sound greatly if you have the factory audio 20 set up. I recently changed my head unit for a top end Pioneer unit, leaving the factory speakers in. The DAB sound quality is good but I do have a pair of Co-axial speakers to fit in the doors, which should give further improvement without requiring an amp to be fitted.

The standard speakers are pretty rubbish tbh so changing them for something halfway decent will help.
You can buy mounting adapters but they are generally plastic rubbish. If you can find some mdf ones then these are better or just make some yourself.
You can also buy adapters to fit the speaker connectors.

Hey I have no idea what you mean by audio 20 set up sorry I have a different head unit but really want to keep the car looking as it should factory just make it enjoyable cos the old ones are awful thx for they reply
Well sort of. The standard ones have a custom fitting as you can see in my image what needs to be done to get around that.
Speaker wise there is nothing special though.
