Auto box reset

Hi all,can someone remind me the procedure for resetting the auto box so I can do it for the mrs as she has a new slk,many thanks!

It depends what you mean by "re-setting"

The gearbox is adaptive so will pick up her driving style after a few journeys. Anything else would, I think require a session on Star to change values but that should only be required after replacement or repair of certain parts?

Hi there,there is a procedure where you can reset by depressing throttle pedal for 10 seconds or so which I'm led to believe takes the car back to like when new and then learns your driving style.

I think that what you describe is thought of as a gearbox reset but I think you will find it resets the throttle.

The gearbox will naturally adapt by driving the car.

It was sometime ago. Did this on a clk320(6 years ago), I think your correct and it is a throttle reset.
