auto fluid for a w203

Olly of PCS has mentioned this before and strongly recommends buying the correct fluid from MB. I think 4-5 litres should be enough for what you are but it would be much better to drain all of the fluid. He charges £180 for this parts, labour and VAT. Is it worth getting dirty and risk damaging the car or yourself for that?

He put a sticky thread on here showing how to do this, it would be worthwhile reading it as there are a few potential pitfalls.

Here is the link to the thread:http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/howto/115863-how-change-automatic-gerbox-oil-flush-722-6-box.html

I think this is the same gearbox that your car has but the overall principle is the same and as you can see there are one or two things that can be tricky plus you would need a proper dip stick and ideally a way of measuring the gearbox oil temperature when checking the level. By the time you buy the parts you need I doubt if you would save much more than £80 maximum plus have the potential grief if bolts strip / shear.

Goodluck whatever you choose to do :)
