I remember a while ago someone linked a good aux to Bluetooth unit which is relatively cheap?

I’m buying a new car which has COMAND and I’m hoping an aux port in the glovebox so need something to work with music wirelessly... I remember there being one on here people highly regarded

I've got a KS "Myjack" that was £20 from the supermarket. - Maybe not the shiny part most people recommend, but it takes up very little space and does what it says it will.

The downside is that it needs a USB charge periodically; it's not hard-wired in, but that also means you can install it in any 3.5mm jack and it works.

Mine is a little headphone amplifier too. It’s crucial for the audio 20 W204 where the aux input volume is so low.

One of these jobbies.

Thanks chaps but I am a bit of an Anker fanboy so have gone for that at £12 I can’t complain :D

clk320x - not 100% sure what you mean by 'aux in' - it does have a 3.5mm jack in the glove box which will accept the output from an Ipod headphone socket, but that's the limit of its functionality.

Yes. - In COMAND that's "Aux", I guess because there are a number of things that could be connected to the head unit.

Rob, got this today. Its perfect.. audio is perfect and that little aukey is perfect..

Only issue is the aux lead is far too short to go from the rear cig to the front glove box. So i have ordered a 2 metre aux extension so I have a lot of cable to route around and get it out of view. Once the cable is out of view it will look perfect!! :D

ordered this https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01F3UP556/?tag=amazon0e9db-21

Will use it on the drive tomorrow with the wire hanging around until the aux extension gets here and ill make it all neat.

cheers

You'd have been better extending the power than the aux.

The longer the analogue audio cable, the worse the quality will be. Power will get down a longer cable no problem, and bluetooth range inside a car is a non-issue.

With the anker one linked to can you set it to just play audio and not do calls? Car already has bt phone and that works fine.

I've tried something similar from Amazon recently, it worked ok but sound quakiqu was iffy. Also, even when left plugged in, the damn thinf would go into sleep mode meaning I had to open the centre storage and press/hold a button to get it back on. It was less hassle to just plug the cable into my phone. Sent it back anyway.

Good to hear! Let us know how you get on with the final installation.

I don't think you can per se, but my iPhone automatically connects to the phone cradle for Bluetooth calls and the Anker SoundSync for Bluetooth music streaming. Not sure how it know the preference though!
