Aux input connector

Hello Everyone. I have a 52 plate Mercedes ML500, I was bought an Ipod touch for Christmas and noticed that on my stereo I have an aux button, but I cannot find where the connector is in the car to put the lead in, can anyone help, this would save me buying all the ipod in-car stuff..

Just because you have the button it doesnt mean you the aux input installed AFAIK but if you do have the input it is in the glovebox and will a round 3.5mm socket like the below.

If you do have one you will be able to input the sound from the ipod touch but you wont be able to charge it, control it or get track info on the headunit. You need the Ipod kit to do that.

If you have the colour screen Comand system then there should be an AUX input in the glovebox. If its not there it is very easy to fit it but as npuk says it wont give you much functionality except music playback.
