Just had our first A service on our (pre facelift) B class with build date 04/08, registered end May 08.
When purchased, I was told the service interval was every 15000 (or 15500?) miles or yearly.
When I looked at the service report, it says 12500 miles to the next service. I queried this & they made some enquiries and now I am told that this car only has 12500 mile service interval, according to 'Mercedes', but no explanation was offered.
Can anyone enlighten me as to the reasons- is it just because of the build date, because it is a turbo model, or some other reason?

Many thanks,
Matt

What does the instrument cluster say?

The same as the service report- now less than 12500 miles

PS I get 30mpg driving hard in the turbo, so surprised you don't get more than 33.7 in your B150?

Now it's getting warmer, I'm getting high 30s, early 40s. Most of my driving is short distance and around town, rare long distance trips are usually a bit better.

Is the shorter distance to next service something to do with which oil they've used? You might get more answers on Benzworld, there's loads of Canadian Turbo owners on there.

B-Class Service Intervals

There are two FIS for the B-Class 245 depending on VIN
From J169768 upto J260548 - 12,500 Miles / 1 Year
From J260548 - 15,500 Miles / 1 Year

Gordo, any idea why the difference?

I am afraid I do not know why there are two different schedules but this is also the same for the A-Class 169.

Gordo :wallbash:
