B200 - removal of luggage floor?

can the luggage floor of my 57 B class be removed completely, i.e. detached from its pivoting hinges? I’ve had a spill in there and it needs a really good clean,

Doesn't it simply pull away? Those in my two Mercs did, the pivot was just a tongue slipped into a slot.

A carton of milk leaked on it a week ago. I’ve scrubbed an sluiced the rear compartment as best I can with every household cleaning material I could find. Hoping the niff will go away.

Cleaned the floor in situ. It looks like you can get replacements on EBay, but removal looks complicated for someone of my limited abilities on Christmas Eve. The rotating mechanism is under a piece of plastic trim on either side - the assembly includes a D luggage hook - the middle of the D comes away to reveal a Torx bolt head and I think if you unscrewed that, the trim would come away, or become a step closer, anyway. Then there was a cross head screw at the centre of the pivot mechanism. I think removing that would release the floor.

Put some bicarb of soda in an tray - helps a lot until you can do something more thorough
