Hello all,

It's been a while! Haven't posted much in the last few years mainly due to life getting in the way... However after a bittersweet farewell to my trusty CLS55 few weeks ago (never felt like I owned it for 13 years!!), it's time to jump back into something a tiny bit more modern.

Which is an AMG GT C roadster!

Only got it last weekend, few things to sort out but so far even on the 100 mile drive back, it definitely puts a smile on my face!

Nice to see you back, and with a decent motor as well (though I did like the CLS) :)

Have to meet up soon Don, it's been too long.

We need a Midlands based GTG so more people can get there. Like Jay used to host at @Mercland. Hey @Bobby Dazzler - what abut Dazzler Towers? We can see yours too! And of course the (in)famous Smart ForFour AMG Black Series Night Edition Premium Plus 125 Powered by Brabus
 
Thanks all for the warm welcome (back)!

What sold me the car was definitely the colour (and the spec) … seen a lot of grey ones … was initially unsure when I saw the car in pics but when I saw it in person, was instantly sold!

I agree and that is for most. Olly does a great one but near Portsmouth which is not really a day trip for most whereas the midlands probably caters for the majority on here (Apart from out Scots friends of course)
 
Congrats on the AMG GT C Don. Long time no see.
Acid used to put on some great Mercedes GTG's at MSL but those seem long gone unfortunately.
 
Welcome back to MBClub and congratulations on the new car. What a way to return! Red is an incredibly rare colour in the UK for AMG GT. My mate Dave tells me that the GT C is definitely the sweet spot, you picked wisely.

You never know there may be a a small GTG at Chez Dazz at some point. In the meantime I’d be up for a Midlands GTG. A while back I tested the water about a meeting at Caffeine & Machine which didn’t really have much interest.

However never one to give up I have another suggestion. Great Northern Classics in Derby also host car clubs and if there’s interest then I’d be happy to speak to them to see what might be possible for a ‘New Year GTG.

I’l dig out that thread and post on it so that we don’t detract from this one.

PS I might even bring along that Smart ForFour AMG Black Series Night Edition Premium Plus 125 Powered by Brabus 😁
